Un très chouette thé du matin

Je vous parle aujourd'hui du thé "Golden Yunnan" de Twentea (Bio).

Je vous ai déjà parlé d'un thé "Gold" ici : http://enthetant.over-blog.com/2016/03/gold-tea-lipton.html et ils sont très différents. Voici ce que propose l'étiquette au design épuré de la marque Twentea : "Un des meilleurs thé noirs au monde qui sera tout particulièrement apprécié par les café-addicts". Provenance : Chine. Infusion conseillée : 95°C pour 3 à 5 minutes.

J'ai choisi de suivre leur instruction et n'ai pas été déçue. Bien que ce soit un thé qui sorte un peu de ma zone de confort (thés aromatisés), j'ai apprécié les saveurs qui s'en sont dégagée. En premier lieu vient l'amertume, puis un goût de brûlé (pas le goût des aliments carbonisés, un goût de rôti, de torréfaction) qui n'est pas sans rappeler celui du café. Il ne développe pas l'arôme de guimauve que j'avais décelé dans le "Gold tea" de Lipton, il n'a pas non plus son goût crayeux en fin de bouche qui m'avait complètement déçue.

J'ai été surprise par le dépôt laissé par le thé sur mon gobelet émaillé (acheté dernièrement et qui me permettais de faire des photos en mode "voyage"). Une couche brune assez marquée, comme peuvent en laisser les thés TRÈS noirs. Après plusieurs gorgées, l'impression qui reste est vraiment proche du café. C'est un thé qui a une touche légèrement métallique et une note boisée sur le palais. C'est sûr, nous sommes loin de mes thés aromatisés habituels, mais j'ai particulièrement apprécié de le boire en mangeant quelque chose de salé et de simple (pour moi : une tranche de pain avec du jambon).

a great tea for the "coffee-addict"

here we are, another tea on Sunday. I hope you enjoyed the others. I would like to speak write about a tea out of my comfort zone : "Golden Yunnan" by Twentea (an organic tea).

There is another post about a "gold tea" (http://enthetant.over-blog.com/2016/03/gold-tea-lipton.html). But, it's in French and a Lipton tea.

There were some instruction on the label, which I decided to follow, trying to get the best taste out of that strong black tea. They suggest you to brew your tea in a water at 203°F for 3 to 5 minutes.

It really is a strong black tea, it even let brown stains on my new glazed cup (which I bought to take some "travel photos"). The first taste you get is bitterness, but it soon let a roasted taste take the place. It's like you are drinking the perfect mix between tea and coffee. I understand why Twentea advertise this tea as "a tea for coffee-addicts". After a few sips, a metallic taste appeared, just a tad, nothing as strong as the coffee side of that tea. It's a great new tea for me and I enjoyed it the most with a ham sandwich (a sweet didn't seem to be the right thing to eat).
