Maison de thé : Mariage Frères.

Nom du thé : Vert Provence

Contenu : thé vert, rose et lavande.

C’est un thé dont les arômes sont bien plus discrets que certains de mes thés favoris. Un thé où la rose et la lavande ne se battent pas en duel mais dansent une valse lente sur un parquet de thé vert. J’en aime le parfum, très doux et incitant à la détente (merci la lavande) et à respirer profondément. Comme si je m’étais assise en face d’un panorama reposant, pourquoi pas en Provence? Au niveau du goût, on retrouve une délicatesse que le parfum annonçait. Après l’infusion à une température d’environ 80°C, le thé vert reste doux, comme un voile de verdure qui se soulève sous la brise sentant la lavande. Un petit goût métallique sur le centre de la langue et la rose ne vient qu’à la fin, très doucement.

J’ai peu goûté de thé « Mariage Frères » (c’est le premier, maintenant que j’y réfléchis) et j’aime bien celui-là. Il est agréable et plein de douceur. Je désirais essayer un thé de cette maison car j’en ai entendu beaucoup de bien et que c’est une très vieille maison de thé, qui doit donc avoir une belle expérience et maîtriser l’art délicat du mélange des flaveurs. Je ne suis pas entièrement conquise par ce thé-ci, mais je ne refuserais certainement pas d’en boire.

J'ai reçu cet échantillon en visitant un magasin liégeois qui vend les thés Mariage Frères et les thés Kusmi. Monom m'a offert une boite en série limitée du thé "Tsarevna" de Kusmi ce jour-là et la gérante a eu le sourire en parlant thé et en nous orientant vers les thés qui pourraient convenir à mes envies. Hello everyone,

I'm back (yes, again) from my new home. I'm still unpacking carefully but I can say it's my home. Pfew. So I thought it could be a great idea to celebrate by a new article posted on this blog.

I'll be taking about the "Green Provence" tea from "Mariage Frères". A mellow green tea with lavender and rose. I only got one tea bag because the shop manager gave it to me as a sample. My dearest boyfriend had just bought a beautiful tea box of the "Tsarevna" tea by Kusmi (a limited edition box of 200g) and she was really pleased to speak about the differents teas she got and to guide us through the stock or chat about tea... A pleasant shop manager, really.

So! The tea was smooth, I brewed it at 176°F for 4 minutes (as written on the tag) and was enjoying it, thinking about an couple dancing a waltz on a wood parquent (made of tea tree wood) and smelling lavender and rose. It was really soothing to drink it. I sit there, relaxing just as if I was watching a beautiful view (in Provence, why not?). It's kinda hard to speak about the taste because I was daydreaming about that couple and I didn't note what it tasted like. It's obvious that it was smelling good (really a good job balancing lavender and rose) and smooth. No bitterness, no astringency and a feeling of peace is what I remember.

ell, I enjoyed it, but I won't probably buy it. Despite the peace I felt, the taste didn't let my any precise memory so I think it's not a tea I could buy, but I defenitely won't refuse a cup of it if it's proposed to me.
